5 Things to do this weekend (6-8 May)

We're expecting cloudy and cool weather for the weekend, fortunately there's lots to look forward to:

1. Support the Wheels & Runners race on Saturday 7 May from 09:00. Anyone is welcome to enter the 5km Fun Walk; wheel or push a friend on wheels. Entries close on Friday 19:00. tel 028 3121889 www.hermanusrace.co.za


2. We've already had confirmed sightings of Southern Right Whales in Walkerbay this season but remember, Brydes whales stay here all year round. Local photographer, Dave de Beer recently took some great shots of them in front of The Windsor Hotel. See if you can spot them from the cliff paths.


3. Beat the cold - buy fresh vegetables from any of the markets in Hermanus and make your own winter soup.


4. Visit Kleinmond to see hot bodies in action. The Pronutro AfricanX trailrun is on this weekend from 8 - 10 may.


5. Watch the Stormers trash the Kiwi Crusaders at one of our local pubs, restaurants or coffee shops. Kick-off is at 17:05.
